SA-IDA Monthly Section Meeting

When: This Up-Coming WEDNESDAY, July 12h at 5:30 PM

Where:  At the IDA office, 3225 N. First Avenue,  just North of Ft. Lowell Road

PROPOSED AGENDA:

PLEASE SEND ME ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADDITIONS

1.  Minutes of the last meeting and Treasure's report, if available

2.  Astronomy and IDA Saturday evenings at the Desert Museum. 
     Finalize plans for this Saturday evening, July 15th.
 
     Also plan for Saturday evenings August 5th and 12th. 
     Note that Teachers Night is Saturday, August 5th.

3.  A large public meeting sponsored by SA-IDA to be held at the
     University of Arizona, Health Science Center.  It is time to start
     making serious preparations !!!!!

     Topic:  "The Effect of Light during the Night on Breast Cancer"

     Dr. David Blask has agreed to participate.  He will be back in Tucson
     in September or October, 2006.  We also have a liaison to help us
     obtain an auditorium. 

4.  Should we set up a follow-up meeting with Arizona State Representative,
     Olivia Bedford ???

5.  Any new obtrusive lighting complaints and/or follow-ups. 

     Note: there has been a complaint about new outdoor lights which were
     recently installed at an apartment complex at Sunrise and Swan. 

6.  How can we interact with law enforcement personal in the Tucson
    area, especially regarding education ???  Should we set up some meetings ???

7.  The 2007 Science Fair judging.  Should we consider making
     any changes regarding our participation next year ???

8.  Plans for an evening meeting with members of the new TAAA executive
     committee.  This will likely occur at the end of the summer.
