Project Astro is having a workshop to train their staff for the up-coming year. We have been ! invited  for a very brief noon
presentation on Saturday, October 12th. Of course, we will a few volunteers to help. 

5. Follow-up regarding hardware stores (Home Depot, and others)

6. November "Excellence in Outdoor Lighting" Award - - - likely recipient will be St. Francis Church

7. Creating a telephone "tree" for SA-IDA 

8. Special Arizona license plates - - - update. Consider alternatives such as an IDA/SA-IDA/Arizona bumper sticker (or even a front
license plate) etc.........

9 Bad lighting complaints. We have a couple of new one to discuss 

10. Planing for the November meeting: likely it will be dark enough to have another field trip (and dinner) 

11. Status of the sky brightness/darkness measuring device - - - and yes, there has been some real progress this past month !!!!

12. The possibility of a large public meeting/! lecture here in Tucson, our own, or a joint meeting (for example with the Audobon
Society) 

13. Report from IDA: Tucson and the Pima County lighting legislation, Arizona State legislation, reports from Flagstaff and Phoenix
area chapters, the current status of Billboards in Tucson/Pima County, and new news !!!!! 

14. Media publicity for SA-IDA. The possibility of an hour-long radio show. 
Also, other radio and TV shows, Newspapers, TAAA, etc......

16. Glare buster shields from GE. Also, the Bob Goff fund for light pollution. (Any more news from the Three Points area ???) 

17. Revising our pamphlet. And/or, one for kids (or a coloring book) 


This is a long agenda, but those items which we do not finish this month will be kept on "hold" for futur! e meetings (not
forgotten) !!!!!
