Campus Night time Photos - top of Science Bldg

Photos were taken on Nov. 8, 2004, about 7 PM from the roof top (13th floor) of the University of Arizona Gould-Simpson (Science) Building located at 1040 E. 4th Street, Tucson, AZ.

Camera was a digital Nikon Coolpix 995, all  with 1 second exposures, f2.6, 8mm (by Joe Frannea)

Image Size-Photos were taken in UXGA  mode (1600 x 1200 pixels), Fine .jpg compression (approx. 1/4) which are about 800k each.

Photos have been reduced in size to about 150k for this display.

Photos start from a view looking SE and go clockwise 360 degrees (S-W-N-E).

 

Light Meter Readings from a Extech Instruments (model 403125)  Light ProbeMeter

were taken  one foot above the roof parapet wall (about 4' high).

- Pointing South: 0.08 fc or foot candles (towards 6th Ave. parking garage)

- Pointing West: 0.06 fc (towards dorms and Euclid/Tyndall parking garage)

- Pointing North: 0.05 fc (towards old part of campus, Centennial Hall/Museum)

- Pointing East: 0.11 fc  (towards lighted sports field at Campbell)
