Note from the President of SA-IDA May 5, 2002 Again, Hello Everyone, We still need a few more active participants of SA-IDA here in Tucson in order to help us keep/improve the dark skies in Southern Arizona. Please try to attend this month's meeting and bring a friend. It will be on the "same" date, the second Wednesday of the month, May 8th, at the the same time, 5:30 PM, and at the same place, the IDA office on 1st Avenue just North of Ft. Lowell (3225 N. First Ave.). We had an enthusiastic meeting last month and we hope to build on that momentum this month. In the interim, we have check out some bad lighting in the Three Points area, and we now need to develop an action. We have made contact with Project Astro regarding next year's science fair. We participated in the U. of A's Earth Day Celebration, and are planning to participate in this month's Audubon Fair (see below). Finally, we are in the early stages of planning an hour-long radio show. I have enclosed a proposed agenda. Please let me know if you have any additions or suggestions. Also, Dick West has enclosed the minutes of our April meeting. John Polacheck, Vice President SA-IDA (acting President)
