Side Parking Area Light Details

Before
A 20 x 20 foot parking area  was lit with one plastic Compact Fluorescent Fixture (18 watts, cost
$13 ) with a curved plastic lense.  This light produced a medium amount of glare (light source
visible for several hundred feet) and some light trespass (light radiating horizontal towards other
properties and the street) with minimal sky glow (light shining upwards).  The fixture was
modified with a metal shield to make it full cut off but a significant amount of light was blocked
from lighting the intended area.

After
The fixture was replaced with one metal GlareBuster fixture (Model GB1000, cost $60) with a
14 watt Compact Fluorescent bulb installed in the fixture.  This is a forward-throw "full cutoff"
design which shields the glare and directs all the light to the desired area and eliminated the light
