SA-IDA Regular 2nd Wednesday of the month Meeting...

As discussed below, we will not meet on Wednesday June 11th, but will meet after the IDA Annual Meeting Sections meeting on Sunday, June 8th at 3 pm.

IDA Annual Meeting at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort

The Sections meeting will be on Sunday, June 8th from 12:30 to 3:00 pm, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Santa Rita Room, the General Business meeting is 12:00 to 12:30 (both are open to the public)

Please attend the Sections meeting if at all possible. We can have a short sa-ida meeting after this if you feel it would be beneficial.

Our regular sa-ida meeting falls on Wed, June 11th, the day after the conference ends so lets cancel it and meet Sunday at 3 pm after the Sections meeting is over (John's suggestion, thanks)

Monrad Engineering is one of the Platinum Sponsors of the Annual Meeting/conference. Chris Monrad has generously given us (sa-ida) their booth space to use for a sa-ida educational display. I will bring our regular display items and will plan to set up at 6 pm on Sunday (set-up times for exhibitors is 6pm to 10pm). I may also bring a laptop running the new "Wreaking Havoc" power point display which I just finished. It is now on our web site for downloading/viewing. It focuses on the Outdoor Lighting impacts to wildlife with a brief mention of plant life and human health.

I have updated the blue sa-ida brochure and changed the nomenclature from "Good Lighting" to IDA's term of "Responsible Lighting" which I think is much more encompassing. We can discuss at our next meeting.

Also, of interest on Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 is Educational Outreach meeting in Santa Rita Room led by IDA (open to public), discuss educational materials and ways to reach out.
