Greetings,
Everyone interested in learning or helping with Dark Skies, Responsible Lighting, or Going Green regarding outdoor lights
is welcome to participate in any of our events and attend our monthly meetings. The meetings are informal where we catch up on projects, discuss any new or
outstanding lighting complaints, review upcoming fairs or presentations, set Educational goals and directions, and get opinions on new directions or projects we should undertake.
We normally meet monthly on the second Wednesday of the month,
at 5:30 PM, at the IDA office
(on 1st Avenue just North of Ft. Lowell, 3225 N. First Ave.).
As always, we stay very busy with a core of about six individuals keeping
everything going - - - lots of activities and outings planned. Yes, we can
always use more help. We have materials that you can use to give brief
presentations to groups that you are involved with, like church groups, schools,
girl and boy scouts, etc.
Education and Awareness are the keys to making a difference with Responsible Outdoor Lighting. It takes everyone to help with this important message and awareness.
Thanks,
Joe Frannea
